International Drikung Kagyu Council
Honoured to organise the 800th Commemoration of Lord Jigten Sumong's Maha Parinirvana.
His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon office sends many Tashi Delek and greetings on upon having successfully accomplished the first Shravasti Vipassana program on Feb 20, 2017 in New York, U.S.A. It was organised by the International Drikung Kagyu Association, North America, under the guidance of Retreat Master Konchok Tenzin. This meditation technique looks similar with the Acharya Goenka's Vippassana method, but it was based on a text which was extracted from the "Anapana Sati Sutra" taught by Lord Buddha in Shravasti, which includes Mahamudra, Zogchen, and Zen meditation and practice.
It was the first time that H.H. led the Shravasti Retreat program. There were altogether 27 participants including Rinpoches, Drupons, lay man & women in the end of December 2016 in Taiwan.
According to HH direction, who holds the certificate of the Shravasti Retreat program can teach around the world for the benefit of all sentient beings. Now the Retreat master Tenzin led 30 participants age from 8 years old to 42 years old people. Most of them are young students from different back ground. They had done a open discussion, and questions & answers session which they enjoyed. We are sending our hearty congratulation for successfully accomplishing the program. We rejoice and wish your noble activities bring the wold peace and happiness.
