Honoured to organise the 800th Commemoration of Lord Jigten Sumong's Maha Parinirvana.
From 26th January to 8th February 2013, The Gonpo Tordog Puja was conducted for 14 days to remove the obstacles, and to bring the wellbeing of His Holiness’ health and welfare for all.
Headed by H.E. Togden Rinpoche, senior monks from different parts of Drikung Kagyu Monasteries around Ladakh, Nepal and India joined for the puja and were well accomplished on 8th of February.
At the end of the Gonpo Tordog Puja, the Cham (Lama Dance) of the protectors Gonpo, Achi and Chokyong were performed. The Gonpo Cham was performed with its retinue and Apchi Cham with its retinues and also Gyalpo and Chokyong cham were shown to public at lower ground of the Monastery.
During the Cham performances, H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang, H.H. Talkung Rinpoche, H.E. Thritsab Rinpoche and H.E. Nyzong Trichen Rinpoche, all the Drupons, Khenpos and monks from different Drikung Kagyu Centers around the world were present during the Cham dance.
