We warmly invite you to attend the opening ceremony of Milarepa Retreat Centre NZ, on Saturday 15th February, with His Eminence Nubpa Rinpoche, who will be visiting from India.

 

Milarepa Retreat Centre is a non-profit society dedicated to preserving, promoting and developing Tibetan Buddhist philosophy under the guidance of His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, the 37th throne holder of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage.

Nestled in a valley not far from Highway 16, Milarepa Retreat Centre has 14 single retreat cabins, available for short or long retreats.

Opening ceremony 11am – 2.30pm (light lunch will be offered)
Afternoon Teaching by H.E. Nubpa Rinpoche 2.30pm – 4pm.

Nubpa Rinpoche as the Spiritual Director of Milarepa Retreat Centre, New Zealand.

How to get to Milarepa Retreat Centre:

From Auckland take the northern motorway. Exit at Silverdale, turn left then first right into Pine Valley Rd, then right into Kahikatea Flat Road. At Kaukapakapa turn right on to highway 16 and continue north (for 38 ks) to Tauhoa. Turn right onto Tauhoa Rd and first left onto Dyer Rd. At the end of this road take the driveway that curves to the right, which will continue on past a shed. You will soon see the gate marked “Milarepa Retreat Centre”. Drive through the gate and continue for about 700 metres to the parking area. From the parking area the Teaching Hall is 5 mins walks.
