Drikung Kagyu International Council warmly receives His Holiness, New York

hhpublicspeechnewyork2On 20th Feb 2014, the Drikung Kagyu Community in New York has arranged a lunch and audience with Holiness the Gyalwa Drikung Pa at the Sheraton Hotel, New York, U.S.A. His Holiness arrived at the hotel at 11am. His Holiness was received by most venerable Gyalpo Rinpoche, most venerable Chena Rinpoche and devotees and followers from New York and around the East Cost of U.S.A.

hhsigningAt 12 noon, His Holiness had lunch with Rinpoches and thereafter he gave advices to all the people gathered. Holiness' main advise was focused on being a good human being and most importantly to respect our own culture and tradition, which is based on loving kindness, compassion and wisdom. Holiness also advised to all the parents to provide their children modern education along with our traditional values and to keep a healthy body and mind. We should avoid junk food, which is also one of the main cause of illness such as obesity and poor immune system. These days Tibetan in Tibet boycott junk foods and they raise awareness how junk food causes illnesses and poor imune system. Holiness also shared some of his ideas and projects in India and overseas.

The thank you speech was given by Lapchi Tendar, the president of the Drikung Kagyu International Council and the program was coordinated by most respected Tsungphen Rinpoche and the members of the Drikung Kagyu International Council, New York.
