Honoured to organise the 800th Commemoration of Lord Jigten Sumong's Maha Parinirvana.
On 2nd March 2014, the Tibetan New Year celebration was held at Jangchubling Monastery, Dehradun. His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang arrived the main temple at 6am and the puja for auspicious ceremony Lama Chopa was conducted at the main temple of the monastery.
Ceremonial sweet rice and traditional tibetan tea were served for all the Rinpoches, monks, nuns and guests from overseas. At the end of the ceremony His Holiness gave a speech to the people gathered. All participants of the puja offered Khata (scarf) to Holiness as a symbol of respect and auspicious sign for the year to come.
At 10 am, His Holiness joined the special tea party with all the disciples in the courtyard of the monastery. There were group songs and dances performed by the students and devotees from Russia, Ukraine, Tibet, Bhutan, Limi Nepal and India.
