His Holiness had lunch with several known actors from Taipei and upon their request, His Holiness gave valuable advice on how to be happy and lead a healthy life in their career being actors and actresses.

On the 27th His Holiness kindly blessed gave the empowerment of Ngaden Torwang which has been passed down to this time as a treasure of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage. His Holiness explained that this is the main practice of all followers of Drikungpa, since it is said: “Cultivate one’s mind of great compassion for all suffering beings, meditate one’s body as the form of Avaloketeshvara, and visualise one’s root guru on top of one’s head, extend the session of meditational practise, and in the end seal it with the dedication. You should understand thus and practice Dharma.” This is the five-fold path of Mahamudra practised by all great masters and enlightened beings of the past, and still now we have this unbroken lineage to practise here. Therefore while we are all fortunate to have this teaching, we should keep on practising it and rejoice over this opportunity.

On the 28th His Holiness lead the practice of the Hundred Million Mani Mantra recitation, and explained the importance of being born as a precious human being and have the chance to recite the Mani Mantra which is the essence of the body, speech, and mind of all buddhas. Holiness further added that it is the easiest and best way which can be practiced by everyone at any time and anywhere, even a child is able to recite it. Yet this teaching includes all teachings of the Buddha. Since we have this wonderful teaching and practice, we should not miss this opportunity and dedicate it to all our beloved sentient beings.

On the 31st, upon the request by the Tibetan  Buddhist Research Centre in Taipei, His Holiness visited there and gave advice, emphasizing that we should not only focus on doing research and writing books, but also need to put this into practise. The teachings should not remain only in books, but also should be in our heart and practice.

On the 1st of January 2015, His Holiness had dinner and celebrated the New Year with many disciples and followers of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage in Taiwan. His Holiness said “I am very happy to be here in Taipei, on this special occasion with all of you followers of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage, I wish you all, and all the Drikung Kagyu followers around the world, a Happy New Year 2015, and may the new year bring you all peace, success, and prosperity."  There were also some very good performances and interesting speeches that pleased everyone.
