On 19th February 2015, His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang attended Losar, the Tibetan New Year celebration, at Jangchubling Monastery, Dehradun, India.
At 6:30 am, His Holiness with the all the Rinpoches, Khepos, monks and nuns from Jangchubling Monastery, Kagyu College, Samtenling Nunnery and Songtsen Library attended the morning Lama Chöpa Puja at the monastery.
There were many guests from foreign countries, and the people from Dekyiling Tibetan Settlement as well as others from nearby also attended.
The morning session started with an auspicious ceremony and prayers at the main temple, butter tea and special fried rice were served to all. His Holiness conveyed New Year-Losar greetingd in three different languages, Tibetan, English and Chinese, to all around the world.
His Holiness said that today we are all fortunate to be here and we should all pray for good health, sucess, peace and prosperityof everyone throughout the year. At the same time Khenpo Choskyab made a brief academic report on the students of Kagyu College and announced that they had successfully selected three graduate students as associate teachers, namely Ven. Dawa Tenzin Ven. Tenzin Phuntsok and Ven. Thinley Phuntsok.
on 17th February, at 3:00 am His Holiness and most Ven. Nupa Rinpoche attended at Tantric Masks Puja (Baksol) and Annual Cham Dance Festival with other high lamas. At 6:30 am the Atsara dance being performed there after Gonpo Mahakala andhis retinue; Achi, the Drikung Protector deity, and the Five Sisters of Long Life, Tsering Chenga and the Five Sisters of Long Life, Tsering Chenga; the Four KasungProtectors; the Wealth God, Namtöse and his retinue; Shingkyong YAb-Yum; Gyalpo Chökyong and so on.
