H.H. Drikung Kyabgön Chungtsang was Elected the ninth Vice President

琼赞法王2副本 2-2The ninth National Congress of the Chinese Buddhist Association was concluded on April 21, 2015. Ven. Master Xuecheng was elected as the ninth president of the Buddhism association and His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgön Chungtsang was elected the vice president. 

During the past ten years, His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgön Chungtsang was former managing director of Chinese Buddhist Association. This time, he was elected the vice president together with other 31 delegates.

琼赞100On April 22, 2015, His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgön Chungtsang was interviewed by China’s Drikung-Kagyu public subscription account at Beijing Jingxi Hotel.

His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgön Chungtsang said, ‘country leaders considered, in the Buddhist association, there was no representative of the Kagyu lineage, therefore, I served as the vice president of the Buddhist association of the country decided by the Buddhist association of autonomous region'.

Under the leadership of Chairman Xi, democracy, equality and ethnic unity between all ethic groups, are more prominent in this election. At present, in Tibet, Qinghai, Sichuan, Yunnan, Gansu and other provinces and regions, there are millions of believers (let alone believers from overseas' ), in this case, this election gives great joy to these people. 

In the concluding speech HH the Drikung Kyabgon Chungtsang conveyed many thanks for all the supporters and expressed his wishes to serve for the welfare of all beings, the development of Buddhism, the continuation of inheritance, country and world peace.
