His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang arrived Rinchenling Monastery, Kathmandu on December 8, 2016. His Holiness was received by H.E. Thritsab Rinpoche, Most Ven. Nubpa Rinpoche, Most Ven. Khenchen Konchok Gyaltsen Rinpoche, most Ven. Drupon Sonam Jorphel Rinpoche and all the Drikung community from Lapchi, Limi, Sherpas and devotees from other countries. The mandala offering was made for auspicious welcoming, and at the rooftop the special tea and sweet rice were served for all.
As invited by most Ven. Drupon Sonam Jorphel Rinpoche on December 9, His Holiness and entourage visited Drikung Rinchenpalri Monastery, on top of the beautiful mountain valley of Kathmandu facing the Shambhunath Stupa.
There HH was received by Most Ven. Drupon Jorphel Rinpoche, most Ven. Gyalpo Rinpoche, most Ven. Khenpo Kunmon Rinpoche and devotees. The most Ven. Jorphel Rinpoche and monks made a mandala offering, and auspicious prayers were done at the main temple. The special tea and sweet rice were served for all.
Thereafter HH had light moments with most Ven. Drupon Jorphel Rinpoche, most Ven. Gyalpo Rinpoche, most Ven, Khenpo Kunmon Rinpoche.
On December 11, 2016, HH the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang confered the grand transmission of the Great Drikung Phowa Chenmo at Rinchenling Monastery, Kathmandu, Nepal.
After lunch HH also gave a long life empowerment to all the people. H.E. Thritsab Rinpoche, most Ven. Nubpa Rinpoche, most Ven. Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen Rinpoche and all help Holiness to offer the empowerment.
HH also gave the transmission of Amitaayur mantra, Awaloketeshwar mantra, Tara mantra, Amitabha mantra, Sakya Muni mantra and so forth during the empowerment. In the end H.H. concluded the transmission and empowerment with the prayers to be born in Sukhavati (Pure Land).
On December 12, as led by most Ven. Nubpa Rinpoche, H.E. Thritsab Rinpoche and all the monks and nuns, people from Lapchi, Limi, Sherpa and all the devotees around the world offered the grand mandala offering to His Holiness for kindly blessing the empowerment and transmission.
Next day H.H. visited the meditation Center founded by most Ven. Nubpa Rinpoche in Sangko for three years, and in the evening H.H. left for Taiwan.
