H.H. Dharma Tour & Environmental Program 2017, Part I

IMG 9937As a part of His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang’s Dharma Tour & Environmental Program 2017, H.H. commemorated the 800th Parinirvana Day of the Lord Jigten Sumgon in Jakarta, Indonesia on April 16, 2017.
H.H. gave teaching on loving kindness and compassion, and shared the idea on Go Green and Go Organic. H.H was joined by the Thravada monks from Thailand, Cambodia and Laos for the whole program.
There were also traditional Indonesian performances by the school children. After lunch H.H. Led the Jangchok Puja and Lamp Offering session with the prayer of Samantrabhadra.


On April 18, 2017 H.H. and around 20 entourages visited the Island called Raja Ampat, in Indonesia, which takes 4 hours by plane from Jakarta and thereafter 3 hours by boat from Sorong Island. H.H. was received with warm welcome by the indigenous people of that area with such a nice local musical band and songs. There H.H. also visited to the 2 poor villages where H.H. shared about the idea of Go Green & Go Organic, and offered cloths and foods items and cakes to all the people. All the people there were happy to see His Holiness coming from very far and they also offered fresh coconut juices to Holiness and all which was very delicious.IMG 9938
On 24th April, H.H. arrived Chiangmai, Thailand and H.H. and entourage were received with warm welcome at the airport by Dorlop Konchok Yeshi and his followers from Manjushri Vihara.
On 25th April, as invited by the Abbot Ven. Maha Aworn Chaiprasit of Pansao Temple in Chiangmai, the head of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage visited for the ceremony of Yok Chor Fa( ยกช่อฟ้าพระอุโบสถ raising Apex of the temple) at 10:00 am. There H.H. was received with grand welcoming ceremony of Lanna traditional dances and music of Thailand. Thereafter H.H. started the ceremony by making the lamp offering to Buddha, Dharma and Sangha, and the abbot of the temple made an auspicious prayers for H.H. long life and his dharma activities.IMG 0205
After the ceremony inside the temple H.H. and hoisted the Yok Chor Fa ( raising Apex top of the temple, which means a completion stage of the temple in the tradition of Thailand, which normally is done by the King and Royal family or very highly respected senior monk in Thailand). At 11:30 H.H. had lunch together with all the monks of the temple and blessed the traditional dancers.
On 26 April, 2017 H.H. visited Doi DuangKaew Suppunyu temple( Kruba Chaiyapattapee ). H.H. surveyed their organic farming with the Sangha members of the monastery. In the evening, they organised local traditional performances for Holiness and all. H.H. made prayers of Samantrabhadhra by sending the light of peace up into the sky.IMG 0425

On 27 April, 2017 at Wat Sangkaew Photiyan Temple ( Kruba Ariyachart ), as requested by the Abbot of the temple H.H. gave transmission of Nondrog (preliminary.practice). Thereafter H.H. did dedication prayer and had lunch with all.
On 27-28 April, 2017 at Rai Cherntawan Meditation Center ( Pramaha Vuttichai Wachiramatee, H.H. led plantation program at their premises.
On the last day H.H. was invited by Ven. Luangpo Somchai and abbot of the Wat Pa Sawang Bun - Sara Buri. There H.H. had plantation program and had lunch with all.
