Honoured to organise the 800th Commemoration of Lord Jigten Sumong's Maha Parinirvana.
The Annual World Peace Prayer was held at Jangchubling Monastery, Drikung Kagyu Institute, Dehradun, India on 10th November 2012. The puja lasted from 6am to 7pm.
The Puja was led by His Eminence Nuba Rinpoche, His Eminence Thritsab Rinpoche, and Venerable Khenchen Rinpoche with and all the monks of Drikung Kagyu Institute and the nuns of Drikung Kagyu Samtenling Nunnery present. There were also 800 monks and nuns from other traditions like Nyingma Monastery from Celment Town and from Sakya College in Rajpur. They all came together to participate the World Peace Prayer.
In the morning the Mañjuśrī-Nāma-Saṃgīti (“Chanting the Names of Mañjuśrī”, Tib. jam dpal mtshan brjod) was chantes. After lunch the “King of the Prayers”, the prayer of aspiration of Samantabhadra was chanted. After dinner there was a candle light vigil held by the people who came for the Puja. The Puja went well and everyone present was happy.
The World Peace Prayer, which was generously sponsored by Dharma Friends from Singapore was conducted successfully.
